What are aspects in the Astrology Chart?

In astrology, the major aspects refer to specific angular relationships between two planets, influencing how their energies interact. Here are the five main aspects:

  1. Conjunction:
    • Angle: 0° (planets are next to each other).
    • Meaning: The energies of the two planets merge and work together. This can create a powerful connection, which may be either harmonious or challenging, depending on the planets involved.
  2. Square:
    • Angle: 90°.
    • Meaning: A challenging aspect, often creating tension or conflict between the planets’ energies. It pushes for resolution and growth by overcoming differences.
  3. Opposition:
    • Angle: 180°.
    • Meaning: Two planets are directly opposite each other, creating dynamic tension. This aspect can signify polarity or contradiction, requiring balance or integration of opposing forces.
  4. Sextile:
    • Angle: 60°.
    • Meaning: A positive, supportive aspect that promotes cooperation and harmony between the planets. Sextiles offer opportunities for growth and creative solutions.
  5. Trine:
    • Angle: 120°.
    • Meaning: A highly harmonious aspect that allows for a natural flow of energy between the planets. Trines often bring ease, support, and favorable developments.

In summary, these aspects describe how planets relate to one another and the type of energy exchange between them, whether supportive or challenging.
